The Coalition of Physicians for Social Justice

The Coalition of Physicians for Social Justice has been an active non profit organization in Quebec for over a decade creating innovative healthcare programs and advocating for accessible healthcare for all.

The Coalition has been involved in supporting, among others, the following causes:

  • Providing free medication for those living below the poverty line
  • Educational conferences on malnutrition in the elderly
  • Integrated Eating Assistance Program
  • Producer of the Cross Canada Walk for Health, 2001-2003 – promoting healthy lifestyles for children
  • Producer of the Good Samaritan Commission – supporting an accessible public healthcare system for all

The coalition supports access to good quality palliative care to all citizens requiring it, currently only 20% of those in need have access in Quebec.
